Attleboro is a beautiful city with a plethora of attractions, shops, and educational facilities, and each one impacts the culture on a city-level and makes it what it is.
Capron Park Zoo, or "Capron" for short, is the central attraction in the city. In addition to being a unique destination in its own right, many events take place in the park throughout the year. While it focuses primarily on visual arts, they strive to "support the creative and artistic development" of anybody, young or old, in any artform. In addition to being a museum, they hold classes that anybody can enroll into for those who wish to learn, and hold all sorts of special events. The Dance Factory and Attitude Dance Academy are both dance schools located directly in Attleboro, and both stress that they will teach students of any age and any skill level. Attitude specializes in ballet, jazz, hip hop, jazz, and modern, while The Dance Factory has a wider array of classes, including Irish step and musical theatre. The Portuguese American Club in Attleboro is significant because of the large population of peoples with Portuguese backgrounds that live in Attleboro. They hold an annual festival and barbaque in celebration of their lineage. Attleboro High School has one of the most of the most expansive arts programs in the area, with classes and clubs on a wide variety of different arts. A band class, a few different types of band clubs, a chorus class, a choir club, and a theatre club are just a few of the options available to students. |
