There are a few major events that happen annually in Attleboro, and they are true displays of culture. The first one, briefly mentioned under the Locations tab is the Festival of Lights at La Salette. Officially, the festival is a celebration of Christmas and the birth of Jesus, but they welcome all to participate and have a look around. For a little over a month each year, over 300,000 go on display over an area of over ten acres. Anyone near or far can observe and enjoy a mystifying experience together.
But that is not the only annual event that takes place at La Salette; each year, the Attleboro Spring Carnival opens for a week for all to enjoys. In an authentic faire-like experience, there are rides, games, and food. They encourage friends and family to go and enjoy some quality time together and have fun. The carnival acts as a way for the community to give back, as well; part of the proceeds directly benefit the maintenance and care of La Salette. One final annual event in Attleboro is the Attleboro Memorial Day Parade. The city-wide event is a way for the local peoples to display their patriotism and honor those who have fought or are currently fighting. It is a prime way for the community to get together and express their opinions and feelings as a whole group. In addition to annual events in Attleboro, there are other, smaller events happening all the time. The Attleboro Cultural Club is a group of volunteers that works diligantly to make sure the city is rich in culture. |
